Position Overview:
Manages the preparation, consolidation, analysis and review of financials including managing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and analysis; the annual operating and capital budget process; and development of system level charges to affiliates and UBI customers.
Supports the Director on projects such as financial and audit issue analysis and write-up; standardization of policies and procedures; and development and implementation of processes necessary to improve the operations of Sutter Health departments.
Manages staff within the department, including planning and coordinating workloads, designing and implementing improved processes, and managing departmental expenses in order to achieve departmental, company level, and system level objectives.

Bachelor's:
Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
8 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Working in a large company with diverse operations in the healthcare and insurance industries is highly desired.
- Managerial accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles used in the preparation of financial statements.
- Accounting systems (including accounts payable and payroll), internal controls, financial forecasting, and budgeting.
- Good understanding of notforprofit accounting and tax issues.
- Written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Work with all levels of staff, management, and board members to translate complex financial accounting issues to nonfinancial customers.
- Handle shifting priorities and direct multiple projects while consistently meeting established deadlines.
- Work autonomously with mínimal supervision and have a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
- Leadership skills to make an appropriate contribution and give direction to issues, work groups, and task forces.
- Process a large amount of information in a short period of time and have the confidence to make informed decisions.
- Deal appropriately with confidential information.
