- Gr 3 Senior Physiotherapist Clinical Educator and Clinician
- Embed evidenced based education methods into curriculum design, teaching and learning activities, program assessment and evaluation.
- Act as a resource and support for staff regarding education matters
- Public dissemination of education work & innovations, building on current evidence, theoretical frameworks and best practices.
- Provide wholistic patient care across a broad range of services in the acute or subacute or outpatient settings.
- Be accountable for the clinical competency of early career physiotherapists / supervisees.
- Ensure connection to and credibility with clinical staff on site and gain an understanding of the challenges and opportunities for clinical educative initiatives for each site.
- Identify emerging and important questions in health professionals' clinical education.
- Physiotherapist currently registered for practice in Australia (AHPRA)

- Significant exposure to pedagogical theory and principles of adult learning

- Commitment to ongoing education / postgraduate education
- Demonstrated initiative, response to constructive feedback, problem solving skills and flexibility.
- Masters level or other higher education qualification ;Graduate certificate in Tertiary Education
- A sound understanding of information technology including clinical systems, applications relevant to risk management reporting as required for the role.

About the department
The Physiotherapy Department is committed to promoting the highest levels of physiotherapy for our patients. In realising this goal, the department will lead and excel in research, teaching and the use of person centred evidence-based practice.
The Department provides services on all three campuses of Austin Health, across all Service areas. The department provides care across the continuum from the Emergency Department through bed based services and ongoing ambulatory care.
About the role
The primary focus of this role is to grow education capability across the Physiotherapy Department using pedagogical principles of adult learning.
