- Determine the right optical materials and coatings design and process to achieve system level optical performance
- Drive development of novel optical material technologies to enable new capabilities in future consumer devices, either internally or with external partners.
- Support technical program leaders in the development of new technologies and remove material barriers from the path to commercialization.
- Provide optical materials expertise throughout the full hardware development cycle.
- Define and execute testing and evaluation of materials.
- Seamlessly transition materials technology to high volume production.
- Strong understanding of mechanical properties of materials Experience with optical material characterization (color, gloss, hardness, film stress, scratch resistance) Nice to Have Skills & Experience-Working with Vendors-Consumer Electronics Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
