Fire alarm vendor located in Maspeth, Queens, NY is looking to hire an Administrative Assistant
immediately


The Administrative Assistant will play an integral role and we are looking for an organized assistant to help ensure our office is running smoothly.


This job entails the following duties:

  • Answer phones
  • Create proposals for service field quotes
  • Collect and monitor paperwork from technicians
  • Send submittal packages
  • Receive service orders and dispatch technicians to emergency calls and track during normal operating hours
  • File documents (both electronic and paper)
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned
  • 8hour shift (M-F 8:00AM4:00PM) MUST START AT 8AM

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing.
  • Requires exceptional oral and written communication skills and organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to selfmanage and work independently with little supervision.
    Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills; as well as, strong general computer skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in an office setting is preferred, with background/familiarity in the construction industry a plus.
Position is available
IMMEDIATELY.

The position is open for long-term employment.
