Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Manager, Housekeepers are responsible for the regular cleaning of buildings.
This can include, but is not limited to, dust mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing furniture, cleaning rest rooms, removing trash and simple operation of basic mechanical cleaning equipment.
Schedule & Benefits:
This is a full-time, year-round position based in Allentown, PA (40 hours per week, Monday - Friday).

Upkeep of floors, including dusting, sweeping, mopping and buffingVacuuming rugs and carpetsThorough cleaning and disinfecting of rest roomsReplenishing supplies in rest roomsMaintaining surfaces such as walls, doors, windows and woodworkCleaning and polishing of furnitureCleaning of elevators, stairwells, kitchens and loungesPreparing simple reportsReporting any equipment or facilities in need of repair or replacementReplacing of accessible light bulbsOther duties as assigned by supervisorCharacteristic Secondary (Non-Routine)
Work:
There are a number of manual labor projects associated with recurring but non-routine cleaning and maintenance of buildings.
Employees assigned to these projects will be under immediate supervision and will perform various tasks requiring moderate physical strength:
Stripping and refinishing floorsScrubbing floors with machinesVacuuming furniture and drapesWindow washingWall washing and vacuumingVent and radiator dusting and washingLight fixture dusting and washingWaste receptacle washingVarious duties related to student registration and placementCarpet shampooingSet up rooms for conferences, lectures, special eventsMove furnitureRelated work as necessary and instructed
Physical Requirements:
Full use of all extremitiesFrequent bending, squatting, and kneelingOccasional carrying/lifting of items over 50 pounds (with assistance, as needed)
Constant walking, standingQualifications:
