Position Overview:
_


Under the direction of the applicable management, the Encoder (ENC-I) is responsible for executing activities pertaining to the encoding of clinical trial data and supporting the Manual Encoding Lead (MEL) with query management, medical coding, and database lock preparation, in compliance with our company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ICH-GCP guidelines.


  • Primary activities include, but are not limited to:_
  • Accountable for all trial level encoding and execution of encoding reports (including handling of Milestone Preparation Reports).
  • Collaborates with clinical study team members, functional area representatives and stakeholders.
  • Participates in relevant operational meetings.
  • Executes communications and escalations at the protocol level within our functional area as well as crossfunctionally.
  • Adherence to a metrics control plan and quality assessment indicators at the trial level.
  • Supports database lock and interim analyses/milestone activities related to encoding.
  • Continually monitors for opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and quality; and implements changes as appropriate at the trial/program/TA level.
  • Performs tasks with mínimal guidance from Manager.

Minimum education required:


  • B.A. or B.S. degree (preferably in Pharmacy, Nursing, Biological Sciences)
OR

  • LPN, RN or equivalent
OR

  • Associates Degree (preferably in Pharmacy, Nursing, Biological Sciences)
OR

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) with previous knowledge/experience related to medical terminology highly preferred.

Required experience and skills:


  • English communication skills (oral and written), with the ability to communicate with technical and business areas.
  • Basic understanding of the clinical development process and the value of encoding.
  • Basic knowledge of clinical practice and medical terminology.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a changing environment with flexibility.
  • Ability to work independently and accept/act with appropriate accountability under the guidance of a manager.
  • Basic organizational, time management and problemsolving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Selfmotivated, positive attitude, reliable, punctual, strong work ethic, attention to detail, honest.
