Director of the Youth Office (m/f/d)

Wipperfürth is a medium-sized city in the Bergisches Land Nature Park and is the economic and cultural center in the north of the Oberbergischer Kreis.

As the head of the Youth Office, you will be responsible for the "Social Services" which include various support services in the areas of child and youth welfare, youth court assistance, foster care services, etc., as well as the "Administrative Services" which include tasks such as guardianships, legal guardianships, child support, and financial assistance.

Your responsibilities also include overseeing a well-attended youth center and two daycare centers.

Your tasks
As the Director of the Youth Office of the Hanseatic city of Wipperfürth, your main responsibilities include:

overall responsibility for all areas of child and youth welfare

- strategic and content-related orientation and further development of child and youth welfare, taking into account political and legal framework conditions and needs in the city of Wipperfürth
- advising and making decisions on fundamental, organizational, personnel, and content-related matters of the Youth Office, as well as administrative, cost-related, and professional procedures and processing matters
- personnel management, coordination, and professional supervision of employees to ensure the professional, formal, and material fulfillment of the tasks
