Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency calls and provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured
- Assess the nature of patients' conditions and determine the appropriate course of action
- Administer necessary medical treatment, including airway management, CPR, and medication administration
- Perform patient assessments to gather vital signs, obtain medical history, and assess the severity of injuries or illnesses
- Safely transport patients to medical facilities while providing ongoing care and monitoring
- Communicate with medical personnel at hospitals or emergency departments to provide accurate patient information
- Document all patient care activities and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
- Valid certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Experience working in EMS or similar fastpaced medical environment is preferred
- Proficient in patient assessment techniques and able to quickly identify critical conditions
- Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) used in emergency care settings
- Ability to accurately measure vital signs
- Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy objects and physically assist patients when necessary
