Business Information Developer Consultant

Location: This position will involve a mix of working remotely and in the office. The ideal candidate should reside within a 50-mile radius of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint office locations.

The Business Information Developer Consultant plays a vital role in managing and analyzing data related to Payment Integrity. A solid grasp of claim payment operations, data management principles, and the ability to work with intricate data sets are key.

How You Will Make an Impact:

Database Support & Design: Assisting in database design, generating ad hoc reports, and creating automated jobs; familiarity with various database technologies is essential.
Accessing and handling data spread across multiple servers.
Writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.
Utilizing the R programming language for data analysis, statistics, and visualizations.
Creating process maps to enhance business processes efficiency and visualization.
Supporting data output and analytical requirements to aid Payment Integrity processes.
Determining how decision support systems can offer necessary data for effective business decisions.
Modeling information sources and flows.
Coordinating project team activities and monitoring project schedules and costs for assigned projects.
Developing strategic report applications from the Data Warehouse.
Establishing and maintaining a robust understanding of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, programming languages, and data integrity issues.
Developing and supporting complex data warehouse-related applications for business areas necessitating database table design and implementation.
Providing training on the usage of developed applications.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BS/BA degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent background combining education and experience.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities & Experiences:
Proficiency in Business Information tools and programming/query languages preferred.
Experience in robotic programming is advantageous for automating manual processes and enhancing productivity.
Experience in server management software is a plus.
Strong experience with SQL (4+ years preferred).
Comprehensive understanding of the R programming language is highly desirable.
Proficiency in PC, spreadsheet, and database skills.
Prior experience in the Healthcare Industry is a plus.
