Your Responsibilities

As a member of our team in Muscatine, you will be responsible for managing projects within the purchasing department as part of the product development process.

This includes conducting internal calculations based on development and customer parts lists, as well as sourcing materials from existing and new suppliers.

You will also negotiate material prices for project requirements and oversee material costs throughout the project.

In addition, you will identify procurement risks and implement countermeasures, support supplier and customer audits, and develop cost reduction programs for customer projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will also play a key role in identifying, selecting, and developing new suppliers in close cooperation with project teams and strategic purchasing.

Other responsibilities include procuring samples and new parts, managing the supplier APQP process, and serving as an interface with department heads to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Utilizing Your Strengths:
Your Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in business administration with additional technical qualifications, engineering with additional commercial qualifications, or industrial engineering.

You should also have relevant professional experience in strategic or project purchasing, as well as strong project management skills. Fluency in written and spoken English is required, and occasional travel (approximately 10% of working time) may be necessary.
