Responsibilities:


  • Set up and operate die cutting machines to precisely cut and shape materials according to specifications, monitoring machine operation and making adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance on die cutting machines to ensure optimal performance, minimizing downtime, and troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions in a timely manner to prevent production delays.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless integration of die cutting processes with other stages of the production workflow, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain detailed records of production output, machine settings, and any maintenance or repairs performed on die cutting machines, while also utilizing precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure products meet quality standards and inspecting finished products for defects to ensure they meet customer requirements, all while following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Previous experience on a BOBST 102 or BOBST 106 / Heidelberg a plus.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Previous experience operating die cutting machines or similar equipment in a manufacturing or packaging environment, demonstrating a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, interpret technical specifications and utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods of time, and perform repetitive tasks including bending, twisting, and lifting heavy objects repeatedly.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Forklift certification is a plus, along with excellent attention to detail, commitment to quality workmanship, and strong communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work independently with mínimal supervision, possessing the physical ability to lift and move materials and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Experience with hand tools and precision measuring instruments, knowledge of tooling including calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices, and the ability to perform quality control checks with strong attention to detail are essential.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations are required, with mechanical aptitude necessary and electrical knowledge considered a plus.

Pay:
$ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
