Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough takeoffs and material quantity surveys from architectural and engineering drawings for vertical construction projects.
- Analyze project specifications, plans, and requirements to develop accurate cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for specialized work and materials required for the project.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to understand project objectives, constraints, and value engineering opportunities.
- Utilize construction estimating software and tools to prepare detailed cost breakdowns, proposals, and bid documents.
- Perform cost tracking and analysis throughout the project lifecycle to monitor budget adherence and identify potential costsaving opportunities.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential challenges, contingencies, and mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Prepare and present cost estimates, proposals, and bid documents to clients, contractors, and stakeholders in both English and Spanish.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements impacting vertical construction projects.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and files related to estimating activities, bids, and project correspondence.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on vertical construction projects.
- Strong proficiency in both English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Proficient in construction estimating software and tools, such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, codes, and regulations applicable to vertical construction.
- Strong ability to interpret construction documents and details, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Customerfocused attitude with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and attend meetings as needed.
