    Position Overview:


    The Service Operations Electrician will work closely with the Service Operations Team to troubleshoot and repair solar PV systems in residential applications.

    This position is responsible for conducting service inspections, site corrections, rough-ins, service changes, and dispatching to service appointments.

    This position is a HYBRID role which includes office work and knowledge of many software and web-based applications and systems.


    Position Responsibilities and Essential Function Categories:

    • Lead PV system troubleshooting, analysis, and repairs
    • Lead installation, analyzing, and troubleshooting of energy monitoring applications (DAS)
    • Lead equipment warranty and vendor RMA processes
    • Lead inspections, corrections, rough-ins, service changes, and service appointments.
    • Track and coordinate incoming and outgoing materials in coordination with the warehouse team
    • Driving to customer sites and Namaste Solar offices
    • Ability to deliver accurate and concise feedback and Best Practices to installers
    • Assist with site preparation and clean up
    • Ensure crew and job site safety standards are being met daily
    • Daily 360 safety reporting.
    • Willingness to "flex" to whatever task is required, and a strong desire to learn about PV systems
    • Participation in weekly and monthly meetings

    Standards & Expectations:

    • Excellent understanding of solar PV design, installation, and troubleshooting
    • Previous experience installing solar PV
    • Ensure that installations are completed at or above industry standards
    • Represent the company to our customers in such a way that builds trust and accountability and ensures customer satisfaction
    • Daily use of a computer working on multiple manufacturer portals; using Salesforce Lightning and following up with customers through email.
    • Daily monitoring of "dashboards" and "reports" on Salesforce
    • Completing Work Orders through Salesforce in a timely manner
    • Punctuality is a must. We deal with inspectors and service appointments; being on time is vital
    • Participate in educating new and existing customers on how solar PV systems perform and operate
    • Knowledge of NEC/AHJ requirements for multiple jurisdictions
    • Complete required safety trainings quarterly
    • Understand and actively engage in safety practices required for the role
    • Have reliable transportation to work along the front range and a clean driving record
    • Expertise of tool use and familiarity with construction best practices
    • Comfortably able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, work with tools, and work on rooftops in varying temperatures

    Work Orders and Dispatch:

    • Ability to work safely in a variety of conditions that may include but are not limited to: heights, ladders, live electricity, battery storage, crawl spaces, and pitched roof surfaces
    • Follow through on work delegated to you from,:Service Ops Manager, Project Manager, and Department Director
    • Operate in lead role on work orders
    • High organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and set priorities
    • Ability to use Field Service Lightning to track and enter case and work order details and maintain high quality records with all information needed to close case/work order and report on details of work performed
    • Effectively create, track, and process RMA work orders and track necessary details to ensure customer satisfaction and OEM payment for work performed

    Essential Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Attributes:

    Certifications:

    • Colorado State Residential Wireman's Electrical License
    • OSHA 10

    Communication:

    • Great communication skills, both verbal and written with customers, crew, PM, and team lead
    • Must be able to read and write English
    • Daily availability to respond to emails and phone calls from other team members and clients
    • Practice FOH communication with all colleagues and be receptive to feedback

    Teamwork:

    • Contributions and collaboration at departmental and company meetings
    • Support other team members in the resolution and completion of work orders
    • Provide transparency and ample notice for lengthy requests for time off to ensure department can adequately cover required work during absence
    • Provide feedback to install, design, and sales about best practices and issues being discovered in the field

    Technology:

    • Ability to use a variety of electrical tools safely and effectively including electrical meters, thermal imaging cameras, and IV curve tracers
    • Computer skills including typing, email (Outlook), Salesforce, and Microsoft Office applications
    Non-essential (Valued but not required skills, experience, and licensure):


    • NABCEP Certification
    • Understanding of Data Monitoring Systems and related wiring and computer systems
    • NFPA 70E Certification

    Physical demands, work environment, travel:

    • Physical demands: While performing the duties of the person in this position is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects; use tools in a variety of capacities including tasks with repetitive motions and overhead work with hand tools, power tools, and materials; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work environment can have extreme temperatures both hot and cold and employee may be subjected to sunlight for multiple hours each day. Ability to work on pitched roof surfaces and at heights that include multiple building stories is necessary. Ability to climb ladders Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Driving is required to site locations.
    • Work environment: The noise level in this work environment can vary from quiet to loud. Work environment changes from day to day between office and project work sites. High and potentially deadly exposure to electricity
    • This job often works 40+ hours a week. We frequently flex to support other Company Circles such as EPC and BNC.
