    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join our team at a tobacco store. The ideal candidate should have a passion for customer service, a deep knowledge of tobacco products, and a proven track record in sales. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting tobacco products, and driving sales while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Customer Service:
      • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.
      • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and product requests.
      • Provide product recommendations based on customer preferences.
    2. Sales:
      • Achieve and exceed sales targets and quotas.
      • Actively engage with customers to upsell and cross-sell tobacco products.
      • Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash registers.
    3. Product Knowledge:
      • Stay up-to-date with the latest tobacco products and accessories.
      • Educate customers about product features, benefits, and differences.
      • Ensure compliance with age verification procedures for tobacco sales.
    4. Inventory Management:
      • Assist in receiving, organizing, and stocking tobacco products.
      • Monitor and report inventory levels to the store manager.
      • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with reordering as needed.
    5. Store Maintenance:
      • Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
      • Perform routine cleaning and restocking tasks.
      • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the store manager.
    6. Compliance:
      • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tobacco laws and regulations.
      • Verify the age of customers before selling tobacco products.
      • Keep records of tobacco sales and report them as required.
    7. Teamwork:
      • Collaborate with fellow team members to achieve store goals.
      • Assist in training new hires and sharing knowledge about products.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Proven experience as a Sales Representative in a tobacco store or similar environment.
    • Strong knowledge of various tobacco products, including cigarettes, cigars, and smokeless tobacco.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
    • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Basic computer skills for using point-of-sale systems.
    • Knowledge of and commitment to adhering to tobacco regulations and age restrictions.
    • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand for extended periods.
    • Ability to lift and carry boxes of tobacco products, up to [50lbs].
    • Comfortable working in a tobacco-smoke environment.
