    As a bartender at the Chicago Theater you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining and breaking down your designated bar area. Count in and out all inventory items every shift. Serve snacks and beverages to guests in a timely and responsible manner. Maintain designated bar area clean and well stocked. Always promote positive guest/client experience and superior customer service. As a crucial member of our team, a Chicago Theatre Bartender may be requested to work a flexible schedule inclusive of early mornings, day & evening shifts (late evenings may be required), weekends, holidays and back to back events. All candidates must be available to work one third of the monthly shows scheduled. Additionally, a bartender may be assigned to an area where adverse temperature/weather conditions may affect them. This role requires Bartenders to stand for long periods of time and move freely throughout the property during their shift.

    Preparing fresh popcorn for your Bar location.

    Providing fast, professional, and courteous beverage service to guests within the auditorium.

    Setting up and maintaining food and beverage stock.

    Maintaining cleanliness of an assigned area.

    Working rapidly and remaining calm during peak periods.

    Maintaining proper pour levels in order to ensure proper inventory control.

    Helping to set up, stock, and maintain bar areas.

    Responsible for ensuring proper identification is provided by patrons in accordance with current alcohol regulations.

    Counting in and out stock at assigned locations and entering counts correctly into the inventory system.

    Maintain proper communication and radio etiquette over two-way radios.

    **SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:**

    Must be able to handle increment weather, due to theatre doors being open.

    Able to walk and stand during the entire shift.

    Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs.

    Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment.

    Prior experience as a bartender, server, or barback is strongly encouraged.

    Ability to work a point of sale system with cash and credit card payments, balance a bank and cash drawer.

    Must be able to tolerate and work in a loud, fast paced environment

    Strong communication and customer service skills.

    Maintain a professional manner, presence, and appearance always while on premises/duty.

    All candidates must be available to work one third of all monthly scheduled events.

    Ability to multitask in a high-volume entertainment-based environment.

    Be prepared to take an active role in Emergency Operations procedures (evacuation plan) through on-going training and drills.

    General computer and email proficiency are required.
