Description

  • Performs paraprofessional duties to support the Division's early childhood health and nutrition services program, Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), and family services Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance (ERSEA) section.

Qualifications

Required:


  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate, with some collegelevel coursework in information technology, social services, and/or health/nutrition.
  • Four (4) years of progressively more responsible experience in a related field, two (2) years of which shall have been at a level requiring independent judgment.
  • Knowledge of requirements for local, state, and federal programs
  • Knowledge of Fairfax County community resources and agencies.
  • Knowledge of student registration requirements, practices, procedures, and policies for local, state, and federal programs.
  • Understanding of USDA and CACFP policies and procedures.
  • Technology skills to process, develop, and analyze data and to create reports.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills and a systems perspective that allows for highlevel problemsolving.
  • Ability to work with individuals from different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Fluency in a second language other than English for some positions.

Salary Range
- $48,739 - $82,273
