LINE COOK

Join a STRONG Back-of-House team at New Holland's original Pub on 8th! We are seeking several part-time cooks. These positions offer an hourly rate starting at $17.02, with potential for higher pay based on experience. Availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays is a must.

Job summary:

Assist in preparing food ahead of service, maintain stocked stations, cook dishes to order during service, and ensure kitchen organization and cleanliness.

Your responsibilities:

Demonstrate behavior consistent with our Mission, Vision & Values.
Organize and stock the cooking line efficiently.
Maintain food and workspace hygiene and safety.
Prepare all food items according to specified guidelines.
Adhere to kitchen conduct policies and procedures.
Ensure proper product rotation and temperature control in coolers.
Keep all kitchen areas clean and sanitized.
Work efficiently and with a sense of urgency.
Participate in weekly cleaning duties.
Continuously improve your knowledge and skills in food preparation.
Perform any additional tasks assigned to you.

Qualities we are looking for in you:

Effective communication skills, a positive mindset, and a willingness to learn.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical capabilities to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, reach, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.

Preferred qualifications:

At least 1 year of experience in the food service industry is preferred.
Familiarity with various cooking techniques and methods.
Knowledge of safe food handling practices as outlined by local health departments.

A typical day involves:

Reviewing the daily prep list for your station and ensuring all preparations are ready for service.
Organizing mise en place to kick off the service smoothly.
Executing tasks during service hours.

Reports to: Executive Chef
