A small nonprofit trade association supporting individuals, businesses, and government officials in the international trade industry, the Maritime Exchange for the Delaware River and Bay is searching for its next talented Finance & Administration Director to manage and operate accounting, finance, and HR activities.


The position is HANDS-ON with part-time support staff, and includes facility management.


Responsibilities

Finance_


Responsible for administering and processing accounts payable/receivable, collections, cash and bank deposits; purchasing system and processes; validate, reconcile G/L and sub-ledgers; coordinate tax payments and forms; manage payroll processing/compliance; review/reconcile bank statements; prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports and develop forecasts, financial analyses, budgets, and variance reports and cash flows.

Human Resources Management_


Assists in development, maintenance, and enforcement of employee procedures and processes, ensures compliance with HR laws and liaison to counsel, maintains employee records, assists with employee recruitment, manages benefits program and coordinates with external providers.

Facilities Administration_


Responsible for all operation and maintenance of building, liaison to tenants, manages corporate-wide insurance, vendors and contractors, manages supplies inventory and equipment leases/purchases.

Grant Management_


Requirements:


  • College degree with a major in accounting
  • At least 10 years experience in all facets of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial management, with at least 5 years managerial experience.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Quickbooks
  • Experience developing short
- and long-term budgets and forecasts

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excel, Word, Access
  • Experience with Human Resources requirements
  • Experience in facility management and working with tenants
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems and improve processes

Pay:
$110, $120,000.00 per year
