Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Manager, Diagnostic Radiology performs mammographic examinations in accordance with established policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Generally, establishes own work plan and priorities, using and/or modifying standard procedures, to assure timely completion of assigned work in conformance with department policies and practices; problems lacking clear precedent are usually reviewed with supervisor prior to taking action.
Reports any malfunctions immediately to Director. Directly oversees and supervises mammography staff.Location: 680 Centre Street, Brockton, MA

This is a full-time 40 hour/ week position
BASIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/APTITUDE/EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization may exist.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to assign and delegate duties in a clear and understandable manner.
- Must be able to reasonably make appropriate judgment in communications and actions with patients, physicians, other associates, outside agencies and vendors.
Education/Experience/Licenses/Technical/Other:

Education:High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years of specialized training equivalent to an Associate's Degree at an AMA approved school of radiological technology required.

Experience:Six to nine months of additional Radiologic technologist experience, beyond formal training program, to become proficient in all phases of assigned duties. Supervisory experience preferred.

Certification/Licensure:Current Massachusetts license to practice as a radiological technologist required. Current A.R.R.T. certification required. Advanced certification in mammography required. Advanced certification in mammography required.

Other:It is reasonable to anticipate that the incumbent may have occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens in the course of his/her regularly scheduled activities as an associate of Brockton Hospital.
Pay:
$48, $58,765.95 per year
