    Description

    **Transportation Coordinator**

    Indianapolis, IN, USA Req #945 Tuesday, December 28, 2021 Calumet Specialty Products Partners, L.P. (NASDAQ: CLMT) is a master limited partnership and a leading independent producer of high-quality, specialty hydrocarbon products in North America. Calumet processes crude oil and other feedstocks into customized lubricating oils, solvents and waxes used in consumer, industrial and automotive products and produces fuel products including gasoline, diesel and jet fuel.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This position is responsible for coordinating the transportation of all inbound and outbound shipments and reports directly to the Transportation Operations Manager

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Determines the most economical method for shipping and receiving orders by taking into consideration freight rates, customer requests/preferences, i.e. TS truck, and back haul opportunities, etc.

    Generate and publish a delivery and shipment schedule

    Reconcile freight issues such as demurrage, fuel surcharges and billing discrepancies

    Track and record service provider statistics, i.e. on schedule, ability to accommodate customers, etc.

    Initiate Preventive Actions as needed

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school

    Two years in a transportation coordinator role or related experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience

    Occasional support outside of office hours

    NECESSARY ATTRIBUTES :

    Excellent communication skills

    Ability to prioritize tasks and deadlines

    Excellent communications skills used in building customer relationships

    Ability to work independently and to work collaboratively in a team environment

    POSITION PREFERENCES :

    Previous SAP and/or JDE experience; other ERP software experience a plus

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with changing variables with limited supervision
