    Description

    The IT Support Technician serves as the main point of contact for all IT related queries at the user level, addressing user needs promptly to ensure optimal system functioning, among other technical tasks. This role involves problem-solving using advanced technical expertise.

    Overall, the position focuses on delivering top-notch service to clients and SPS staff, maintaining the company's professional image through efficient, courteous, and timely service.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assessing issues and devising solutions.
    • Troubleshooting system, application, and hardware issues.
    • Keeping customers informed on ticket progress.
    • Directly collaborating with customers to resolve issues.
    • Leveraging internal IT Knowledge Base for solutions.
    • Researching and resolving issues using external resources when necessary.
    • Consistently updating the ticket tracking system with progress updates and solutions.
    • Escalating issues to relevant parties when needed.
    • Performing regular maintenance on laptops and desktops.
    • Tracking computer assets following organizational standards.
    • Conducting backups, restores, hardware configurations, and software installations.
    • Maintaining computer standards and participating in standard testing.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements:

    • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required, preferably with a higher degree in Computer Science or related field.
    • 1-3 years of previous IT work experience.
    • Preferred IT certifications such as: ACMT, ACSP, ACTC MCP, CNA, CCNA, A+, Network+.
    • Experience with both Mac and PC systems.
    • Ability to work assigned hours set by manager.
    • Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Current or willingness to learn computer systems essential for the role.
    • Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
    • Compliance with all required policies and procedures.

    Travel: Occasional local travel may be necessary, up to 25% of the time
