Description
As Strike's Senior Research & Development (R&D) Tax Associate, you will be responsible for researching tax issues, conducting fieldwork, supporting sales & marketing efforts.
Specifically, you will operate as an authority on the US Research & Development Tax Credit, and gain exposure to other credit incentives as Strike expands into other services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the following job duties which are focused around two key concepts: Quality technical expertise and delivering excellent client service
Specific responsibilities include:
Work with multi-disciplinary teams to conduct research and development (R&D) tax credit consulting services, including leading client interviews and discussions, performing technical tax research, computations, analysis, data aggregation, and business development with industry expertise.
Interface with client personnel, including executives, operations, finance, accounting, and engineering.
Assist in managing and implementing multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating resources as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or tax, or other technical field
Prior experience in preparing R&D and/or payroll claims
Strong initiative and drive to lead while seeking opportunities to enhance and grow the R&D practice
Comprehensive technical skills and the ability to work on project plans, manage workflows, and comprehend complex written and verbal materials.
Ability to travel up to 25%, as needed.Preferred Skills and Experience:
CPA, Enrolled Agent, or other appropriate certification (either in process or able/willing to obtain)
Masters in Accounting/Tax/Finance
Experience working for large national accounting firm in a specialized practice area
Proven ability to prioritize and drive progress on multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
