    Custodian I

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine custodial tasks following facility regulations
    • Clean, disinfect, and maintain state buildings and living spaces
    • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and accountable for
    • Keep exterior areas clear of debris and trash
    • Support fellow custodians when necessary


    Essential Job Functions:

    Adhere to assigned work schedules and shifts, including overtime as needed.

    Environmental Maintenance:
    Assist in upholding a clean work environment.

    Floor Care:
    Follow procedures for floor cleaning and maintenance, including proper use of equipment.

    Restroom Sanitation:
    Clean and sanitize restrooms to prevent the spread of illness, ensuring resident safety.

    Bedroom Cleaning:
    Maintain clean and safe living spaces for residents, including linen changes and trash removal.

    Regularly clean and report repair needs for assigned buildings, maintaining a safe environment.

    Ensure cleanliness and prevent disease transmission in designated areas.

    Prioritize health and safety standards, promoting a secure environment for all.

    Complete documentation accurately and efficiently.

    Be prepared to assist during disaster response situations as required.

    Knowledge Skills Abilities:

    • Familiarity with cleaning procedures and regulations
    • Experience in operating cleaning equipment
    • Ability to follow instructions effectively
    • Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Comfortable standing/walking for extended periods
    • Cooperative attitude towards colleagues and residents
    • Willingness to work flexible hours
