PAY RANGE

-$69,551 - $113,078 (CL-28).


Pay range is based on the Rest of the US pay table and could be higher depending on the location of the duty station.

ABOUT THE JOB
This role is responsible for identifying and analyzing security vulnerabilities to develop and implement effective mitigations. This role requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity threats and the ability to think creatively when developing mitigations. Must be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, to develop and deploy remediations.

THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO

  • Monitor and analyze vulnerability data to identify potential security risks (Nessus, Splunk, etc.).
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure effective communication, deployment, and coordination of remediation plans.
  • Stay current on the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies and incorporate this knowledge into vulnerability management strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of full‐time specialized experience in cybersecurity or information technology, with a focus on vulnerability management, risk assessment, or related areas.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively to develop effective remediation plans.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and assessment tools (especially Nessus).
  • Ability to monitor and analyze vulnerability data to identify potential security risks.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non‐technical staff.
  • Experience with configuration management guidelines and secure baselines.
  • Must possess clear communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on customer service and empathy.
  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively both with team members and in crossdepartment environments.
  • Occasional travel within the Circuit. Duties may require working outside of normal business hours. Physical effort may be involved in moving, connecting, or troubleshooting equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience analyzing IT security issues and providing solutions.
  • Experience with compliance scans (CIS Benchmarks) and configuration management.
