Job Overview:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee a regionspecific to the planning and assignment of shipments.
- Work closely with drivers on shipment details.
- Monitor changes and update computer systems as necessary.
- Adhere to the assigned schedule.
- Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Skills/Background Needed
- 5+ years of previous experience as a transportation specialist/planner preferably from the moving industry.
- Must have good MS Office skills.
- Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Must be detailorientated and extremely organized.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be flexible and a good problem solver.
- Must be able to work one Saturday per month (two Saturdays per month during peak season (5/158/31)) and occasional half days on holidays.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
- High school diploma or a GED required.
Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour
