    Description

    Sr. Software Designer Intro
    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Software Designer to join our team in Raleigh, NC.

    This role involves architecting and developing host software primarily in C++ and designing embedded software for both legacy and new generation medical devices.

    The ideal candidate will ensure all software complies with FDA standards and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from prototype through verification.

    This role will start as a 7-month contract with the possibility to extend.


    Sr. Software Designer Job Details

    • Design and develop embedded software for medical devices using C and C++.
    • Create software tools to support the manufacturing of medical devices using C, C#, and C++.
    • Write software requirements for the host application and associated tools.
    • Provide design inputs for the GUI of system software.
    • Ensure all software and webbased applications are FDA compliant.
    • Design, develop, and implement cybersecurity controls meeting FDA NIST standards.
    • Conduct software testing and debugging, including unit testing and static analysis.
    • Support software product development from prototype through verification, collaborating with test and quality teams.
    • Drive innovation in software development processes.
    • Assist with training and oversee tasks completed by junior employees and vendors.
    • Perform additional duties as needed to meet business needs.

    Sr. Software Designer Mandatory Skills

    • Proficient in C, C++, and C#.
    • Strong understanding of FDA compliance and NIST standards for software development.
    • Experience with software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting using tools like Visual Studio.
    • Ability to perform static analysis, profiling, and debugging of userfacing software.
    • Capable of conducting detailed statistical analysis and data processing.

    Sr. Software Designer Desired Skills

    • Excellent problemsolving skills.
    • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Proactive and efficient with a scheduleoriented mindset.
    • Experience in medical device software development is highly preferred.

    Sr. Software Designer Start Date

    • Immediate start preferred; position will remain open until filled.

    • This is an onsite position, Monday to Friday.
