    Description
    Provides estimates for each project phase: conceptual, schematic design, design development and construction documents.


    • Prepare detailed cost estimates via industry accepted methods such as RS Means for small and large projects. Estimates shall be provided in UNIFORMAT II and CSI format.
    • Ability to concentrate in one or more of the estimating disciplines, including architecture, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, civil and structural.
    • Prepares or assists in the preparation of order-of-magnitude, preliminary, definitive, change orders and check estimates using appropriate methods and techniques.
    • Prepares material, equipment, and labor take-offs.
    • Performs cost comparison analyses between in-house estimates and contractor estimates.
    • Works with Project Managers and other disciplines to evaluate appropriateness of budgets.
    • Utilizes the appropriate company and industry historical data for cost estimates.
    • Prepares project and discipline estimate summaries Basis of Estimate.
    • Establishes and maintains cost databases and product line specific parametric analysis tools.
    • Leads the estimate reconciliation process with the project team.
    • Prepares bid packages, conceptual estimates and analysis of subcontractor bids etc. for projects.
    • Maintains consistent and period communications with other estimators.
    • Prepares and/or coordinates preparation of full project estimates.

    Required Skills & Experience


    • Bachelor' degree in engineering, architecture, or construction.
    • Must have an understanding of construction means, methods, and sequences.
    • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, Requests-for Proposals and contracts.
    • Due to the nature of the work, candidate must be a US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident
    • MCACES Experience
    • DD1391 form
    Nice to Have Skills & Experience


    • Certification with AACE, I; RICS, or ASPE
    • Knowledge of MCACES/MII
    • Scheduling Experience
    • CSRA Experience
