- Implementing curriculum within established guidelines while fostering curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving.
- Creating and executing daily lesson/activity plans.
- Supervising children, classroom, playground, activities, and field trips.
- Conducting parent conferences and maintaining positive relationships.
- Enforcing safety rules and reporting/treating/documenting any issues or injuries.
- Attending program activities, staff meetings, and trainings.
- Working with all age groups and changing classrooms as needed.
- Maintaining program records, site, and equipment.
- Furthering the mission and goals of Apple Tree Learning Center.
- Performing assigned duties.
- Bachelor's or Associates degree preferred, or equivalent.
- Six months of supervised programmatic experience.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Completion of CPR, First Aid, and other required trainings within 30 days of hire.
- Strong organizational skills and experience with children and parents.
- Effective communication skills.
- Strength, agility, and mobility to supervise children's activities.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and get up from a sitting position on the floor.
- Effective communication and composure in stressful situations.
- Able to supervise children safely at all times.

We are in need of a full-time Child Care Teacher for our Chesapeake Location. This position provides a competitive salary starting from $31,200 to $40,000*BOE, along with the Benefits listed below.
