The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking a full-time clinical track Assistant or Associate Professor faculty Psychologist in the Section of Pediatric Psychology to help develop and direct a Behavioral Consult-Liaison Service and provide outpatient services through Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition.
Responsibilities will include:
Successful candidates must possess a PhD or equivalent from an APA-accredited program, have completed an APA-accredited internship, be licensed or license-eligible in Virginia, and be skilled in interprofessional practice in a complex, academic medical environment.
The Section of Pediatric Psychology is situated in the Division of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and provides clinical service for the broader Department of Pediatrics and UVA Children's Hospital.
The Department of Pediatrics is an extremely collegial and collaborative department, and the Division of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition have outstanding working relationships with each other, providers in the community, as well as with other pediatric subspecialists and colleagues in other areas of the UVA Health System.
