Our Billing Manager leads our billing operations supporting varying business units.
The Billing Manager will oversee a team of 8 Billing Analysts, ensuring accuracy in billing processes, compliance with contractual terms, and timely invoice generation and delivery.
This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Lead and manage an 8member Billing Analyst team, ensuring optimal performance.
- Oversee billing data analysis for accurate and complete customer invoices.
- Selfdriven individual with a strong motivation to succeed.
- Effective task prioritization and time management skills.
- Strong problemsolving abilities with acute attention to detail.
- Proven track record in handling high volumes of collections.
- Commitment to excellence with a high level of professionalism.
- Review contracts and purchase orders to verify billing terms and compliance.
- Manage endtoend billing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead monthend and yearend closing activities, including revenue recognition.
- Conduct research on existing prior period accruals to ascertain reasons for noninvoicing and provide explanations as necessary.
- Direct preparation and generation of customer invoices according to billing schedules.
- Foster collaboration across departments to optimize billing processes.
- Conduct complex reconciliations of billing data to maintain integrity.
- Assist the billing team with the monthly checklist and ensure regular updates of account notes, in addition to adding delivery data on a weekly basis.
- Drive prompt resolution of customer queries and purchase order issues.
- Lead creation and implementation of scalable billing processes for efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations on invoices.
- Monitor and oversee resolution of outstanding invoice queries.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve disputes promptly.
- Maintain accurate billing records for audit purposes.
- Coordinate monthend and yearend closing activities related to billing.
- Generate reports to assess billing performance and identify trends.
- Collaborate closely with other departments, including Finance, Operations, and Sales to ensure alignment and coordination in efforts to reduce DSO.
- Stay updated on billing regulations, accounting standards, and best practices.
