Overview:
In conjunction with the Life Enrichment Director, the Fitness Instructor is responsible for providing excellent customer service to the residents of the community by planning and facilitating the execution of resident trips, inhouse activities and events, to include research, clerical responsibilities to include: Life Enrichment calendars, fliers and other advertising, work orders & dining requests.
Facilitating the independent living movie committee, supporting the outreach committee, ordering movies, and collaborating directly with the residents to ensure three movie nights per week are implemented.
Collaborating with the director and LE team to ensure all trips and activities and executed for the best possible resident experience.
Part Time- 25 hours could be very flecible

Responsibilities:
- Develop, along with the director, monthly activity calendars of scheduled events and post the last full week of each month. Updates to Touchtown regularly, including announcements, activity log and any other postings needed including any program changes will be promptly posted.
- Attending Resident LE committee meeting for trip ideas and planning.
- Plan monthly trips in collaboration with bus drivers, director and residents; create coinciding trip highlights for monthly posting
- Lead resident movie committee and order monthly movie selections and create coinciding flyers
- Maintain signup sheet for all trips and excursions requiring sign up: communicate with the residents regarding activities, trips, and excursions they have signed up for.
- Maintain the bulletin boards; keeping all the information current and eyecatching
- Assist director in planning and implementing events.
- Assist in the general overall Life Enrichment programming
- Work cooperatively with all departments, administration and residents to build and maintain a successful LE Program.
- Attend annual inservice programs and other pertinent seminars to increase knowledge base.
- Explore new opportunities for community activities.
- Any other duties as requested.
- Flexible with a weekly work schedule that may include some weekend or evening hours.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience with working in a residential community, preferably with seniors.
- Strong collaborator.
- Well organized and detailed oriented.
- Excellent communication skills and personable.
- Excellent networking skills.
- High school education or higher.
- Excellent clerical and computer skills. Typing and knowledge of Microsoft Office skills is necessary.
