Operations & Purchasing Administrative Assistant (TEMP to PERM)
E8 Engineering is working with a manufacturing company at the forefront of EMI gasket innovation, design, and customer service to fill a
TEMP to PERM role.
We are currently recruiting for a skilled & innovative Purchasing & Administrative Assistant with excellent communication skills.
Your role will be to assist and back-up the Purchasing department with purchase orders and vendor interface, and support the larger Operations department with administrative support.
Our customer has been established and profitable for over 28 years.They shut down for two weeks during the Christmas holiday season.
Responsibilities as Operations Administrative Assistant:
- Provide highlevel administrative support and assistance to the Operations Manager and Ops staff as needed.
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks including drafting letters, memos, reports, and other documents.
- Organize files, scan documents, and help document Operations procedures.
- Schedule and attend meetings with Operations, taking notes and recording minutes.
- Help prioritize, summary and distribute incoming communications and memos to Ops Management & staff.
- Performs other administrative and support duties as assigned.
Responsibilities as Purchasing Assistant:
- Assist and backup Purchasing with creating, placing and tracking quotes and purchase orders as needed.
- Help with scanning and managing PO's and paperwork within our customer's M1 ERP system.
- Keep office supplies stocked, tracked and organized, and advise Purchasing supplies needed to order.
- Help tracking and interfacing with vendors, vendor ratings, surveys and other documents.
- Assist following up with vendors on late/soontobelate orders and expedite deliveries as needed.
- Help Purchasing with updating costing/pricing information in M1 as needed/approved.
- Assist Purchasing in maintaining procurement documents in a systematic and auditable manner.
Skills and Qualifications required:
- Team player with excellent organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail.
- Minimum 35 years experience & skills with administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Spanish desirable.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office & ERP experience. Typing a minimum of 50 words per minute.
- High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree in a related field desired.

Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour
