SVP, Head of Data Science

Remote Position:
Full Time, Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30 Pacific Time

Exempt Salary Range:
$180,000-$300,000. Position eligible for additional incentives including bonus, 401(k) match, health and welfare benefits, amazing culture, growth opportunity and more

JOB SUMMARY:

What You'll Be Doing:

Build and manage a team to develop bestinclass machine learning models for managing credit and fraud risks, pricing optimization and direct mail programs. These models will enable realtime lending decisions for hundreds of borrowers every month.
Strong background in leveraging multiple complex data sources such as credit bureau information, customer supplied information, cash flow information, and alternative data sources at a large scale to build sophisticated credit and fraud models.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to build a robust AI/ML model development platform for development as well as deployment of models into production environment.
Coach and mentor team in evaluating new statistical and modeling approaches and alternate data sources to drive better credit decisions.
Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
Handson leader, who can provide vision to the team, and willing to roll up sleeves to code, develop models and coach team on writing better queries and develop sophisticated algorithms.
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, etc.). Master's / PhD degree preferred.
Expert knowledge in statistical programming languages such as Python, R, and database languages such as SQL
Knowledge of advanced statistical modeling, testing, data mining, ETL, and data science techniques.
Experience using GCP, Snowflake, and/or Hadoop systems for distributed analytics and data processing.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
