    SPECIAL EVENT COORDINATOR -PART TIMECLOSING DATE: May 18, 2024


    PAY RATE:
    $18.00/hour - This position is dependent on budget approval by the Lehi City Council


    SCHEDULE:
    Variable hours to accommodate special event needs. Up to 25 hours week, with the exception of some Summer events where more hours may be required.


    DEPARTMENT:

    Office of the City AdministratorJOB SUMMARYPerform light office workAssist the Special Events Manager with day-to-day operationsAssist in setup, operation and teardown of eventsInteract with event attendees in a friendly, engaging mannerAssist in identifying sponsorships for events and programsAssist in creating new eventsServes as vendor liaison and coordinator Works closely with parks maintenance to ensure cooperation for events.

    Coordinates promotion of activities and recruitment of participants for volunteer efforts and department-wide venturesPerform other duties as assignedRESPONSIBLITIES AND QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma and six (6) months experience in event planning Strong communications skills - both written and verbalExcellent organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Proficient in the use of Microsoft OfficeFamiliar with multiple social media platformsValid driver's license and reliable transportation - personal vehicle preferredWillingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
