We are looking for an experienced Automotive Painter. This job will require powder-coating of Original Equipment wheels. Worker needs to be experienced, honest, and hardworking.


GENERAL PURPOSE:


MAJOR JOB OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cleans, sands and prepares surfaces for painting
• Applies primer and finish coats to parts using lacquers and synthetic paints and enamels
• May work with unpleasant or toxic fumes and materials wearing protective and safety equipment
• May mix and match paints; may occasionally rub, polish, and wax finish coats
• Cleans and maintains spray guns and other painting equipment
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:


Education/Certification:

• General education or high school diploma or 1 yr of experience

Work Experience:

• Previous experience as painter in auto industry

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Knowledge of the processes, techniques and materials used in painting in automotive
• Knowledge of the proper methods of preparing automotive equipment for painting;
• Experience in proper methods of caring for spray guns and other auto painting equipment and materials
• Knowledge of safety precautions required in performing the work of the trade;
• General knowledge of stenciling; skill in the use of spray guns and other auto painting equipment
• Ability to mix and match paints; the ability to prepare auto body surfaces for painting;

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

• Must be able to work cooperatively and adaptively in a team setting.
• Must be able to work under pressure, multitask and produce quality work in a deadline driven environment.
• Must be able to work irregular and/or long hours.
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for periods of up to 5 hrs
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
• Must be able to safely handle tools and equipment.

Job Types:

From $24.00 per hour
