Barnes is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Benefits Administrator to support the Total Rewards team in the day-to-day functions of their employee benefit programs.

This will involve assisting with the development, implementation, administration, and coordination of employee benefits programs including medical, dental, life, disability and 401k.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage the daytoday administration of employee benefit plans, including health, dental, vision, disability, life and retirement plans
  • Assist with the development and implementation of benefit communication strategies, benefit programs, and policies
  • Assists team in the annual open enrollment process (communications, plan documentation, system testing, training, etc.)
  • Maintains/updates benefit plan legal documentation, as required (Plan Documents, ERISA Wraps, SPDs).
  • Manages activities and funding associated with various Health/Welfare and Retirement programs (Health Savings Account (HSA), Retiree HRA and Retirement plans (401(k), DC, Pension) including researching employee questions and monitoring deferrals and contributions Coordinate monthly and quarterly wellness initiatives (U.S.)
  • Coordinates vendor interfaces included scheduled delivery and error resolution
  • Lead various compliance projects and related reporting, such as annual retirement plan audits, Form 5500s, Summary Annual Reports, PBGC, Nondiscrimination testing, ACA, 1094 and 1095C filings.
  • Financial reconciliation and processing of monthly invoicing.
  • Support other projects within the area of Total Rewards

Qualifications:


  • Strong project management and attention to detail with the ability to multitask on a wide variety of duties and projects
  • Excellent analytical skills and financial acumen
  • Selfstarter with ability to manage ambiguity and demonstrate results
  • Selfmotivated and capable of exercising initiative and working independently
  • Time management and planning skills to meet critical deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills; both verbal and written, with knowledge of benefit contract language
  • Understanding of compliance requirements, and federal and state regulations such as ERISA, COBRA, ADA, Medical and Social Security
  • High ethical standards and commitment to maintain confidentiality of work
  • Excellent computer skills required including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as comfort working within HR Information Systems (HRIS) a plus

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Human Resources and a minimum of 3-5 years of benefits experience
