In this role, you will:


  • Support daytoday information system security operations including hardware and software implementations.
  • Carry out technical administration of IS in accordance with internal LM and customer security requirements, primarily Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Upkeep, monitor, analyze, and respond to network and security events.
  • Document compliance actions within the approved automated compliance tracking system or develop a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M) with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to address noncompliance in the allotted time frame.
  • Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined in the security plan.
  • Auditing is a large part of this role's responsibility.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Current DoD 8570 IAT (Information Assurance Technical) Level 2 certification; (ie. SEC+ or equivalent) or ability to achieve certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Strong written and verbal communications, interpersonal relations, and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of operating system security requirements
  • Knowledge of network security (e.g., encryption, firewalls, authentication, perimeter protection).
  • Secret clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related from an accredited college or university
  • Knowledge of NIST requirements and RMF (Risk Management Framework)
  • Knowledge of industry standard Information Assurance tools
  • Information System auditing experience across several operating systems and IT platforms
  • Knowledge of network design processes, to include understanding of security objectives, operational objectives, and tradeoffs.
  • Knowledge of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), classified computer operations and experience with the Technical configuration requirements for various operating Systems
  • Ability to provide guidance on DoD Cyber regulations and requirements to customers, and Lockheed Martin leaders.
  • Knowledgeable in Solaris/UNIX/Linux command line
  • Detail oriented, well organized and able to multitask in a high stress environment
  • Keen attention to detail and possess a strong sense of accountability for actions
  • Must be a team player, selfmotivated, and a quick learner

Other Important Information You Should Know

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.


Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.


Schedule for this Position:4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
