CAMP COUNSELORS NEEDED FOR OVERNIGHT THEATER CAMP IN KENOSHA, WI (JUNE 10-JULY 30)


Harand Camp of the Theatre Arts, an established musical theater and activities camp for children 7-18, is looking for Camp Counselors (age 18+) for its 69th Season (June 10 - July 30, Strong applicants should have previous experience working with kids and the ability to teach or assist in a variety of activity areas.


Highest-Need Areas:
Technical Theater, Costumes, Arts & Crafts, Sports, General Games & Activities, and Male-Identifying/Non-Binary Counselors for "Boys" Hall.


Counselors must be able to work & reside on campus at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI for the duration of our camp season, June 10 - July 30, 2024.

Full room & board provided


REQUIREMENTS:


  • Camp Counselors must be 18+ (out of high school)
  • Excellent with kids of all ages
  • Ability to instruct activity classes in variety of areas
  • High energy + flexible in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong leadership + teambuilding skills
  • Positive attitude, common sense, and sound judgement
  • Sincere desire to be a role model for children

SKILL & INTEREST AREAS:



  • Technical Theater

  • Scenic/Other (Set Building/Lights/Sound)


  • Technical Theater

  • Costuming (construction, alterations, etc.)
  • Arts + Crafts / Fine Arts
  • Sports & Fitness (Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, etc.)
  • Performing Arts (Singing, Acting, Dancing)
  • Video / Photo
  • General Games and Activities

OTHER DETAILS:


  • Assistant Counselors (18+, just graduated high shool) $1400+ stipend (based on experience)
  • Counselors (18+, at least one year out of high school) $1500+ (More with experience or special certifications)
  • All receive full room & board at Carthage College (single or double dorm room and 3 meals a day, valued additional $450/week)
  • Travel Stipend available for those coming from outside Illinois/Wisconsin
  • Counselors have four (4) full days off plus rotating late evenings
  • Sevenweek commitment (including orientation)
  • 2024 Dates: June 10 July 30, 2024
