Senior Program Director needed for large-scale accounting IT project for the DSS, Office of the Controller and Budget & Analysis for reimbursement to counties for administrative costs.

Our client is seeking an experienced program manager.

This lead management role will work with multiple internal and external stakeholders, project teams, divisions, departments and vendors to strategize, implement, and maintain initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives.

This position will interact with all levels of staff including executive staff. This position will ultimately be responsible for ensuring that projects advance and enhance the departmental IT roadmap and goals.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Work closely with project sponsor, PPMs, to identify and prioritize initiatives at a division level
Collaborate with Project Portfolio Management and other staff to develop and manage divisional roadmaps
Work with business and cross-functional teams to develop Business Case and Cost Benefit analysis for prioritized initiatives within the program
Manage and obtain various DHHS and state approvals for initiating projects within the program
Participates in the construction of Statements of Work (SOW) and Request For Proposal (RFP) in collaboration with the business and other agency teams for projects within the program
Manage multiple Vendor onboarding

Extensive Program management experience ,planning and managing large complex technology business programs.

Establish and implements governance model for the program
Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and Vendors
Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department
Manage budget and funding channels for maximum productivity
Tracks, maintains and present program details, progress, status, risk and other relevant topics to senior and executive management
Work with Project Portfolio Managers and Project Managers within the program to maintain clear, effective and transparent communications
Manage resource allocations and expectations for program
Collaborate with the State DIT to ensure program compliance with the State IT Roadmap and all State security requirements
Presents program status to various committee and executive meetings
