    The Orthopedic Unit at Mercy offers exceptional and excellent care to adults recovering from foot and ankle surgery; orthopedic and neurosurgical spine surgery; shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand surgery; hip and knee surgery; sports medicine; joint replacement and reconstruction surgery.

    We are known for superior clinical outcomes and rank in the top two percent of hospitals nationwide.

    From 2019 to 2021, we have been recognized by Healthgrades as America's 100 Best Hospitals and 100 Best Hospitals for Orthopedic Surgery.

    We were also recognized by US World News as High Performing in Hip Replacement and Knee Replacement in 2021. Our orthopedic surgeons lead surgical advances offering cutting edge technology and minimally invasive procedures.

    Requirements


    • A diploma/degree from an accredited nursing school (a Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, or agreement to enroll within six months of employment).
    • A Registered Nurse license to practice in Maryland or the ability to obtain a Maryland license based on timeframe of licensing board.
    • New nurse graduates considered with practicum, or technician experience in acute care. One - two years of clinical nursing experience strongly preferred.
    • Healthcare Provider-Level CPR certification.
