Job Summary:
As an Event Manager supporting our Catering Operations team, you will have the outstanding opportunity to attend, implement and support the successful execution for on and off premise company events.
You will play a key role in collaborating with cross functional teams, while advising our clients as to scope, expectations, setting menu, collateral entertainment to have a successful event.
Some of the Key Responsibilities:
- Organizes, leads, and motivates the catering support teams, as the liaison between Sales Managers, Supervising Chefs, Staffing, Captains, Suppliers, Vendors, Rental Companies and Clients as needed to plan and implement outstanding & successful events.
- Manages vendor contracts & financial objectives & analysis while ensuring for satisfaction with the services delivered.
- Plans staff and event schedules.
- Accurately distributes all pertinent information to all departments as well as to clients and related vendors.
- Performs final review and assessment of catering events assuring they have met Occasions performance and quality standards.
- Excellent hospitality with consistent track record to handle the superior customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Operationally savvy industry professional with demonstrated leadership in leading people, events and the overall guest experience.
- Self-Motivated to work independently and part of a team, with strong organization, time management and team motivation skills are crucial for success in this role.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with various stakeholders.
- Ability to respond effectively to evolving changes & priorities.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, P&L, labor and sales forecasting and reporting.
- Effective use of discretion to problem solves in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Ability to establish credibility with senior culinary professionals.
- 35 years' experience in a hospitality management environment (preferably in an off premises catering environment)
