The 597- bed institution is one of the largest health care providers in the state, treating more than 32,000 inpatients and 82,000 Emergency Department patients each year.
Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center has long been recognized as a leader in providing world-class care delivering 6,500 babies annually which is one of the largest programs in the state, leading the nation in Kidney Transplant, and providing more than 100 medical and surgical specialty and subspecialty services.
BSN
Minimum of 3-5 year s acute nursing experience
One year of Nursing Supervisor department experience.
Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Successful completion of all Orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center
Preferred:
MSN
I.V. certification from an approved facility or completion of those requirements preferred
Certifications and Licenses Required:
NRP certification required or completion of its requirements within 90 days of hire
Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement
BLS from the American Heart Association
Scheduling Requirements:

Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation

Essential Functions:
Organize and administer individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care.
State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies.
Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation and activities.The Clinical Director is responsible for assisting the Patient Care Service Executive Council in defining, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating the philosophy and objectives for their designated area to ensure the optimal delivery of care and services to all patients in an environment that promotes professional development and continues to assure financial viability.
