Monarch Preschool College Park is seeking a dynamic, energetic Teacher Assistant who enjoys working with children aged 3-5.
The Teacher Assistant will support a Lead Teacher in creating a year-round, high-quality, project-based learning pre-kindergarten environment that fosters a lifelong love of learning while preparing children for school and life beyond.
This is a full-time, 10-month teaching position.About Monarch Preschool College Park
- Associate's degree; Bachelor's preferred
- 21 years of age or older
- 12 years experience as a teaching assistant or working in a childcare setting
- Solid understanding of classroom activities and teaching best practices
- Ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment
- Must have a positive attitude and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and presentation abilities
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to fluently speak, read, and write English; Spanish fluency a plus
- Must be able to safely lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors
- Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children
- Must see and hear well enough to keep children safe and engage in physical activity with them
