Our mission is to build the Intelligent Edge, where AI transforms how we solve challenging problems by combining deep application knowledge, close customer relationships, extraordinary data, advanced circuits, and breakthrough algorithms.

Analog Devices has established the AI Solutions Business Unit to deliver AI-enabled products to our vast markets. The AI Solutions BU develops products at multiple technology stack layers, from AI-enabled software applications to deeply embedded AI algorithms. The AI Solutions BU collaborates with our Market BUs to solve problems beyond the reach of pure semiconductor, circuit-level, or architectural innovation.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team to plan and execute AI-enabled product development. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex hardware and software technology development projects and a strong track record of process development and improvement.

    Position Description:

The Program Manager is responsible for independently managing a portfolio of R&D projects that bring together novel software, AI/ML, and embedded systems components. Many of the projects you will manage are across different market applications, involve collaborators and stakeholders from many different ADI teams, and come in a variety of product form factors.

    Responsibilities:

    • Execute projects and maintain documentation:
      • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of new product development
      • Maintain project schedules and budgets.
      • Communicate progress and status to both internal and external stakeholders (including ADI leadership)
      • The Program Manager will be expected to independently manage 2 projects within 3 months and to manage a full portfolio of projects (4+ projects) within 8 months.
    • Apply project management frameworks to AI/ML development projects:
      • Strongly manage quality and risk during product development involving large AI/ML and software components.
      • Collaborate closely with all team members to identify and address risks early, especially those associated with solution robustness and/or quality.
    • Keep all stakeholders aligned:
      • Your projects will typically have 3+ technical leads (SW, ML, embedded systems) and a variety of stakeholders and contributors. The Program Manager needs to keep all of these contributors, project stakeholders, and ADI leadership aligned throughout the project.
    • Develop and improve processes:
      • As a new team, the AI Solutions BU has some latitude to define the processes that work best for our products. The Program Manager should be confident to propose and implement improvements to our existing product development and operational processes.
      • The Program Manager will be expected to be involved in 2+ process development / improvement activities each quarter.
    • Shape strategic initiatives:
      • The Program Manager will support the Business Development team in defining and shaping portfolio strategy. Specifically, the Program Manager channels technical and operational inputs to inform how strategic initiatives are implemented.
      • Communicate portfolio strategy with contributors to gain feedback and consensus, and with ADI leadership to get executive buy-in and report on progress.
      • The Program Manager will be the lead PM point of contact for 1 portfolio strategy within 8 months.
    • Complete necessary glue work to help with removing project roadblocks:
      • This job requires a team-first attitude. As we are a small team that is building an aggressive roadmap, some key operations items may fall to the Program Manager to solve. Examples of this include: working with Legal to execute contracts, or with IT security to assess risk of a new SaaS offering that the team would like to use.
      • The Program Manager needs to quickly learn how to execute these sorts of tasks efficiently through building their network within the company, understanding existing processes, and finding ways to streamline and/or efficiently drive these tasks.
      • The Program Manager should be able to navigate completion of these tasks with little support / oversight after 6 months on the job.
