Description

We are looking for an experienced Director of Engineering to lead our client's specialized global engineering team in designing and developing professional audio products.

The ideal candidate will have a BSc or equivalent in Physics, Acoustics, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering, with experience in the audio product manufacturing sector being a strong advantage.

They should have a proven track record of successfully launching products within budget and tight timelines.

This role requires a strategic leader who can drive new product development and maintain technological leadership in line with market demands.

The Director will provide clear direction and guidance to Engineering Managers and staff, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

They will also work closely with product management to define new products and ensure successful integration into various global markets.

Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must, as the Director will be responsible for communicating with internal stakeholders, management, manufacturing, offshore engineering teams, external partners, and vendors.

Additionally, they should have a strong understanding of financial management and be able to effectively manage departmental costs and finances for new product development.

The ideal candidate will also have a solid understanding of manufacturing principles and process control, as well as experience in managing large engineering teams with direct and indirect reports.

They must be willing to travel internationally, as this role involves significant interaction with key stakeholders in various locations.
