We're looking for experienced Head Lifeguards to work at the City of Delano Aquatic Center. Job responsibilities include supervising lifeguards and swim instructors on duty, aiding in staff in-service training, and ideally teaching lifeguard certification courses.

DETAILS

Seasonal:
Memorial Day - Labor Day 2023 May 25-Sept 2

Up to 30 hours a week

Pool Hours:
May 25-June 2: Sat/Sun only 7am-5pm

June 8-July 26: M-F 7am-7pm, Sat/Sun 7am-5pm

July 27-Sept 2: Sat/Sun only 7am-5pm

Swim Lessons may be additional hours

Pay:
$19+ per hour (based on experience and certifications)

BONUSES

We offer 50% reimbursement on all certification courses for new hires following successful completion of a full season (Memorial through Labor Day)._

- $300 Retention Bonus_: qualify with a full season of work (May 25-Sept 22), minimum 24 hours a week, with less than 3 callouts.

$100 Employee Referral Bonus:
per referral after 60 days of successful employment.

QUALIFICATIONS
Ages 18+ with a High school Diploma or equivalent

2+ years of lifeguard and/or swim instructor experience required

Current ARC or equivalent Lifeguard certification required

Current Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification preferred

Current (or ability to obtain) an ARC Lifeguard Management training and Lifeguard Instructor certification within 30 days of hire

1+ year experience in a leadership role preferred

Ability to pass pre-employment verbal, swim, and in-water skills tests
