Description
The employee will be trained in culturing sensitive aquatic vertebrates and invertebrates which are used in whole effluent toxicity tests.
Training will also include running bioassays to determine toxicity in water samples received from clients.This will include preparing samples for testing, loading organisms into test containers, monitoring tests during the exposure period, performing physical and chemical measurements, euthanizing test organisms, and weighing test organisms.
The technicians are also required to do all necessary glassware cleaning and prep work.
This position requires working five days a week with a minimum of one weekend day per week, and two consecutive days off.
The training rate is $ $20.00 per hour, based on experience.
