    Job Description

    Position Summary: The Estate Planning Paralegal (ESP) professionally supports the vision and mission of the law firm by efficiently managing and storing all word processing for the firm's estate planning and elder law clients. The ESP is also responsible for drafting trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and deeds, as well as for funding clients' estate plans and facilitating the firm's client maintenance program.

    The ESP collaborates with lawyers and client services to ensure smooth operations within the law firm while maintaining confidentiality. Additionally, the ESP provides quality customer service to clients and their families.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for outgoing correspondence to clients and advisors
    • Creating, modifying, and maintaining internal estate planning forms
    • Drafting various planning documents and liaising with attorneys for review
    • Entering client data into the firm's management system
    • Meeting with clients to review and sign documents
    • Ensuring proper funding of clients' trusts
    • Providing timely customer service and handling client needs
    • Calendaring work and meeting deadlines
    • Participating in firm calls and meetings
    • Completing tasks as requested by attorneys
    • Attending training events as necessary
    • Adhering to firm core values

    Qualifications Required:

    Academic: Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies or relevant experience

    Skills/Knowledge & Ability:

    • Above average administrative/technical skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office software
    • Strong time management and organizational skills
    • Knowledge of Special Needs Planning and funding
    • Professional communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in confidential environments
