Sterile Processing Technician - Westchester County, NY, United States - Deliver

As a
Certified Central Sterile Technician, we rely on you to adhere to the 'DELIVER' mission by providing due diligence in the reprocessing of loaner instruments, and equipment required for patients that will be undergoing orthopedic surgical interventions.

You will support hospital Operating Room and CSPD areas by properly processing loaner surgical equipment using washers, sterilizers, dryers, and heat sealers.

• Performs duties as assigned, within specified time frame.
• Reprocesses and assembles specialized loaner instruments and equipment utilized in the operative areas.
• Utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Lifts and carries heavy items weighing up to 25lbs, up to 50lbs and transports to designated areas.
• Identifies, maintains, and prepares the instruments and equipment to ensure availability when required.
• Utilizes proper packaging methods and materials including internal and external chemical integrators/indicators
• Performs and documents all sterilizer testing.
• Operates specialized equipment; washers, steam sterilizers, and decontamination equipment such as ultrasonic equipment, sinks, forced air equipment.
• Scan instrument sets utilizing current programs available in CS department (i.e. SPM, T-Doc, Maestro, Censis, ReadySetSurgical).
• Regularly checks and updates tray tracking data, maintain open communication with leadership
