Summary:

The Miller Healthcare Wait Staff/Transporter is responsible for providing effective and timely assistance in setting up and delivering resident food trays and supplements, and maintaining the kitchen and its contents in proper working condition and in a clean and sanitary state.


Experience/Education Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred

Responsibilities:


  • All full time wait staff will be required to cook in the assisted kitchen as needed.
  • Assists with food preparation as necessary, sets up and delivers resident food trays.
  • Cleans and maintains assigned equipment and work areas on a daily basis.
  • Cleans work area including wiping walls, mopping floors,scrubbing tiles, cleaning walkin refrigerator, sinks and counters.
  • Completes weekly cleaning duty.
  • Displays a concerned attitude in working with residents, visitors and fellow employees.
  • Maintenance of equipment, and other nondisposable items in a clean and sanitary condition, and proper disposal of garbage, and follows proper safety procedures.
  • Operates equiment safely.
  • Practices infection control through proper dress and personal hygiene.
  • The Wait Staff/Transporter will greet residents and guests in the dining room; be knowledgeable regarding menu selections and take customer orders; serve food in a fine dining atmosphere.
  • The wait staff/transporter also facilitates resident transportation in an efficient and organized manner, and following all safety procedures. The wait staff/transporter will assist residents in all dietary needs and perform all tasks assigned by supervision.
